Flagship · Cohort 31
Signal Pipeline Fundamentals
A six-week live course on the event pipeline under freemium revenue — for people who already ship trials or in-app purchases and are tired of charts that do not match the bank.
Ask about this cohortWho this is for
Product managers, growth leads, and analytics partners at freemium or hybrid apps. You should already have an event stream and access to store reports. If you have never shipped a paywall, start with the Paywall Timing Lab instead.
Studios in Thailand often join as a PM + finance pair. That pairing is useful; we reserve two seats per company so the event contract is not orphaned after week six.
Modules
Each week has a live session, a written homework, and a short critique. Recordings stay available for 90 days after the cohort closes.
Event taxonomy for trials, paywalls, and restores
Name every state a user can be in. Separate impression, attempt, success, and restore. Ban “purchase” as a single event name.
Revenue is not a receipt
Map client success events to store settlement lines. Introduce gross, net, and tax-inclusive views without inventing a fourth “true” number.
Cohort clocks
Install vs first open vs first paid receipt. Why D7 LTV from install inflates holiday campaigns and what to print instead.
Refunds, chargebacks, and late corrections
Events that arrive after the weekly report. How to version a metric so last month’s slide does not silently rewrite itself.
Identity without over-stitching
Device, account, and store identity. The damage of merging too eagerly, especially on family-sharing and emulator-heavy titles.
Dashboard contracts
A one-page spec: owner, grain, filters, refresh, and forbidden interpretations. You present it to a peer from another studio.
What you should be able to do after
- Write an event contract that product, engineering, and finance can initial.
- Explain the gap between in-app success events and net store cash.
- Rebuild a weekly revenue view that survives refunds arriving late.
- Refuse a vanity funnel that starts at paywall impression without exposure logging.
- Hand a new analyst a dashboard spec instead of a verbal tour.

Instructor
Nalinee Sutham
Lin led revenue analytics at a Bangkok-based subscription studio for six years before opening Apieventstack. She still sits with finance teams on reconciliation week. She does not consult on UA buying or creative testing.
Office hours: Thursday mornings at the Min Buri studio, by appointment.
Questions we hear every cohort
Do you cover ad mediation and waterfalls?
No. This flagship is IAP- and subscription-first. Hybrid Monetization Attribution is a separate two-week lab and still does not teach bidding strategy. If your revenue is almost entirely ads, this course will feel incomplete — that is a real limitation, not a humble-brag.
What tools do you assume?
Any warehouse plus one product analytics tool. Examples in class use CSV exports and SQL sketches, not a single vendor UI. Bring whatever you already have.
Is there a certificate?
A completion note is emailed if you submit all six homeworks. We do not sell accredited degrees.
Notes from past seats
“Week four on late refunds was slower than I wanted. We spent two evenings arguing about whether a chargeback should reopen a closed cohort. That argument is exactly what our month-end export was missing.”
“Lin refused to look at our UA dashboard. Annoying at first. Forced us to finish the receipt map before we asked for more spend.”
